Breaking News: Midland Police Closing Closing CJ Kelly Park
January 17th citizens began noticing a large police presence at Wadley Barron Park aka the Duck Pond. The Crime Scene Unit was on hand as well as multiple officers, a dive team, and the DPS helicopter. If you live in the area of Holiday Hill Road or drive that way, you again will see police presence and activity.
CJ Kelly Park has a large pond where police will be again looking for evidence related to a homicide case where two young people were killed.
CJ Kelly Park is located at 5500 League Dr, behind the shopping center with Little Woodrows and behind Lowe's Home Improvement.
No need to be alarmed, nothing new has happened and police are continuing to look for evidence related to the December 17th double homicide.
The police have not commented on what they are looking for but if you watch enough crime shows, one could only assume they are looking for the murder weapon. Again Midland Police have not said exactly what they are looking for just said they are looking for evidence.
Following a weeklong investigation, officers with the MPD arrested 29-year-old Jordan Pierre Golden on December 22 for Capital Murder in the deaths of Anjaya Saddler and Decamren Sims.
