An Open Letter To Drive Thru ATM Users In Midland Odessa
We live in a fast-paced world. Everyone's time is precious and valuable. Everyone's in a constant hurry throughout the day to get accomplished what they've set out to do for the day, and you'd better stay out of their way otherwise their grill is attached to your bumper driving down the roads and their horns are honking at you the millisecond the traffic light turns green if you're not off your brakes and trouncing on your accelerator to get moving fast enough... So you have to wonder where all these "I'm In A Hurry And Don't Know Why" people are when it comes to getting in the drive-thru line at the bank. And I'm not talking about the ones with tellers. I mean the outside ATM machine lines.
There seems to be a widespread misconception that these outside ATMs are there for you to do your multifaceted complicated banking where you have to insert your card, then type a bunch on the screen, make deposits into 5 different accounts, check your balances, print receipts, check your balances again, type in a few more things, re-insert your card, deposit some more, sign your banking slip, and maybe even get your horoscope and talk to your mother in law thru the ATM speaker and then order take out for all I know but it takes you 3,000 years to get your stuff done while I sit behind you waiting for my turn to pull out $20. Seriously--if you have THAT MUCH BANKING TO DO--please go INSIDE and see a teller. Or, at the very LEAST-get into line in the teller drive-thru lines and have a real person handle all that for you while the rest of us get our $20 and GO. Our time is just as valuable as yours is. Thank you for remembering that next time!
