Luke Bryan, Chris Janson, Zac Brown Band Earn 2016 iHeartRadio Music Awards
Luke Bryan, Chris Janson and Zac Brown Band may not have received any trophies at the 2016 ACM Awards on Sunday night (April 3), but they were winners at the evening's other awards show: the 2016 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Bryan, who co-hosted the 2016 ACM Awards, was named Country Artist of the Year at the 2016 iHeartRadio Music Awards, while Janson earned Country Song of the Year. ZBB's trophy, however, came in a non-country category: Rock Song of the Year, which they received for “Heavy Is the Head,” their collaboration with Chris Cornell. Taylor Swift, who was up for seven total awards, took home four, including Female Artist of the Year, Album of the Year and Best Tour.
Also nominated at the 2016 iHeartRadio Music Awards were Carrie Underwood (Female Artist of the Year), Sam Hunt (Best New Artist) and Garth Brooks (Best Tour), among others. Additionally, Kelly Clarkson received a nod for Best Cover Song.
