10 Restaurants Every Texan Should Try
I think most of us look for famous eateries when traveling. If a town has a famous restaurant, most of us are most likely to stop and try it out. I also think that deep down inside each one of us is some kind of foodie. If you are like me, I like to try to take in the cuisine of the area that I am in. I want to experience their culture.
According to Only In Our State, here are the 10 restaurants that every Texas should try!

In my personal travels, I have come across places that I have to eat at every time I am in that city. For example, when I am in Beaumont, I must eat at Floyd's. Floyd's is a cajun/seafood place where everything is made from scratch. I always get their crawfish ettoufee. If I am in Brownwood, I have to stop at Underwood's. Underwood's is a BBQ place with amazing orange potato salad. If I am in the Metroplex I always like to stop at Papadouex's. If I am down in the stockyards in Fort Worth, I want to eat at Joe T. Garcia's. In Fredericksburg, I always like to stop at The Auslander and get German food, sausage, and sour krout. When you are in Galveston I suggest The Gumbo Diner. I know most people will tell you to eat at Gaido's but I say save the money and go to the Gumbo Dinner. Make sure to order the pistolettes.
I will tell you out of the restaurants listed in Only In Our State, my family loves the Pickett House, its a family style restaurant where you pass the food around the table.
