I came across a Wall Street Journal article recently that talked about inflation and how the prices of dang near everything are going up due to inflation. No big surprise to anyone, we have been seeing it with our own eyes as of late. It is especially tough for small businesses right now, specifically restaurants. The pandemic 2 years ago really threw things off course, with supply-chain shortages
If you are like me, on a regular basis, if there are places that you frequent that ask for your name, it is also not a surprise when you are then prompted to answer, 'what is your date of birth?' Or you are asked for your phone number, address or some other form of verification. Why? Because it is highly likely that you share a name with countless other people in this area.
Now that school is officially out for pretty much everyone in Midland, Odessa and surrounding areas, the question is, what to do with the kids? For single, working mom's like myself, the task becomes finding a sitter. For others it is, well I have a teenager in my house now, is he/she old enough to stay home alone? Is he/she old enough to get a job?
If you are someone who commutes daily through our beloved streets, roads and highways of West Texas, I feel for you. I have done it for a very long time and it absolutely does not get any easier, fun or safe. Many of us, depending on our daily route, know which roads to avoid, which ones to take to make the drive a little more smooth and so on and so forth.
I am telling you right now in the late 90's early 2000's this girl was all about a Mexican pizza. It was not unusual for me to get at the very least, one a week. Oh man if you've ever been a struggling single mother, you know that asking for help from others is never easy. Whether it be a little extra monetary help, bills, food is scarce or trying to figure out childcare, some supermoms try to figure it all out on their own. I should know, I've been there. So when I heard about this cool new thing happening in Midland, to help single mothers and so many ot

If a friend or family member had a 'swimming party' for their birthday or just to celebrate the end of school, it was going to be a good summer...
Today is National BBQ Day and I am sorry (not sorry) but I have to say hands down the best barbecue comes from right here in Texas. We all have our personal favorites but the people have spoken. I decided to go online to find out what the fine folks of Midland-Odessa say is their favorite barbecue right here in the 432.
I am always late to the game. I barely created an avatar for myself last year, while others have had it for an eternity. I didn't attempt to use GIFs or share memes or things like that because I didn't know how it worked. I needed a tutorial and more than likely that tutorial came from 1 of my children. True story. So this morning I saw on my Facebook feed that everyone was changing their profile
