The summer brings the heat - both literally and figuratively - when it comes to the hottest artists touring the Lone Star State.

Texas has long inspired storytellers. While some shows lean into traditional western themes, others reflect the modern, diverse reality of life in the Lone Star State.

El Paso has, and has had, a number of concert venues and each one of them has seen some incredible shows. They all have amazing history but "Tricky" had character.

Picture this: a sprawling 40,000 square foot nightclub opening right in our backyard. Lou Lou by Los Toxicos is set to shake up Midland-Odessa's nightlife.

Some of these definitely express a traditional Texas vibe. But some of these may surprise you as they did us.

Recently there was a list created of the most popular guilty pleasure shows for each state and for Texas it was the crime drama and thriller series, Dahmer.

The annual Bataan Memorial Bike Run is Saturday, May 14th, in Ruidoso, New Mexico. Enjoy not only a nice ride but also food, drinks, fun and music!

So quite literally as my title states, we may not realize it but we are very fortunate to live in the second largest state in the US, for a number of reasons. Friendly people, great restaurants, vacation spots and so on and so forth. I came to love and appreciate my great state all over again after conversing with someone who recently moved to this country.

I know, I know. Why screen-free? Because my friend, as much as I love playing the Switch and listening to music with my headphones in on a long drive, it's nice to have options. Road Trips will never again be boring with this list of car games I've put together. I've picked games that are good for friends, family-friendly games, games that are good for keeping your passengers or kids busy and entertained and games that can involve even the driver without distracting them from the road! Prepare to be entertained!
