Texas Bikers-If You’re Headed West This Holiday Weekend-Beware!
Texas Bikers-If You’re Headed West This Holiday Weekend-Beware!
Every state has its own set of rules in addition to what most consider to be the obvious these days like helmet laws, etc. But there are some weird ones that can throw you a curve here and there. And even though you might get a chuckle out of reading them here-keep in mind they CAN be enforced when you're out there by law enforcement if they so choose, which can hit you in the wallet where it hurts.
An Open Letter To Work Truck Drivers In Midland Odessa
An Open Letter To Work Truck Drivers In Midland Odessa
I'm not sure what to make of the situation. Either the folks driving these trucks are worried about being late for something because they're being clocked by some oil company so their in a hurry and careless; they don't own the truck and it's a company vehicle and they don't care if they wreck it because it's insured by a big Corporation; maybe they're just naturally road ragers and drive the way they do out of anger. I'm still in the process of figuring out what drives THEM to drive this way all around us on the roads here in the Basin.
5 Things People Love The Most About West Texas
5 Things People Love The Most About West Texas
Typically, the place you are "from" is where you grew up. But it doesn't necessarily always have to be that way. If you're a transplant, but you absolutely love the area you live in, I don't think there are any hard and fast rules about when it's ok to adopt a place as your own and say you're "from" there. Those who grew up in a certain area may take issue with that statement, as their sense of pride takes over having longstanding roots in said place. I'm kind of an example of this way of thinking that you don't have to grow up somewhere to say you're from there because I grew up in Chicago and left at age 18, and have literally lived all over the country for the past 33 years. As far as I'm concerned, I can say I'm "from" wherever I want to-because home is where you hang your hat. However, I'll always say I'm 'from' Chicago since that's where I grew up. Having been here in West Texas now for 22 months-I can say there are things that I've truly come to love about this area. Here are MY top 5. Leave a comment below and tell me YOURS.

Permian Basin Taco Bells Completely Unprepared For Return Of Mexican Pizza
Let me start by saying that no one is as surprised as I am that Mexican Pizza would be so unbelievably popular here-especially given the fact we have so many outstanding Mexican restaurants here that supposedly according to locals Taco Bell is pretty low on the priority list when it comes to choosing that type of food. Enter now the boy from up north who moved here from Illinois 22 months ago who loves his Taco Bell Mexican Pizza-and has yet to be able to have one since their return because they are SOLD OUT every single time he goes to get one.
