Discover the Top Pie Texans Can’t Resist This Thanksgiving

We are in Thanksgiving week and everyone has their game plan for the feast on Thanksgiving. The menu is set and prep has already started. Most of us have already laid out the stretchy pants we will change into after we eat our first Turkey Day serving.

No matter how many servings I eat during Turkey Day, I always make room for dessert. My family and I debate every year about which Thanksgiving dessert is the best. The debate usually trickles down to what pie flavor holds the top spot. Now while my daughter loves pumpkin pie and I hate anything pumpkin flavored, I wanted to know who agrees with her absurd opinion.

I found a survey from GE that helped me with this debate and it shocked me.

TEXAS' FAVORITE PIE

This was a bittersweet conclusion. Though I am excited that Texas did not vote for pumpkin pie as their favorite, they went with my next worst thing pecan pie. Though this did not please me, the answer did not surprise me. Pecan feels like it fits Texas the best.

AMERICAS FAVORITE PIE

Although I may have won the Texas pie battle against my daughter, I ultimately lost the American Pie war. The pie voted as America's favorite is pumpkin pie, which received the highest votes in 29 states. Pecan pie was the least preferred in the country, while apple pie ranked somewhere in the middle.

Even though I felt like I did all this research for nothing because there was no way I was telling my daughter she was technically right.
