Usually around this time of year, the West Texas heat can be unbearable in Odessa, Texas.  Luckily for us, this past week has not been too bad in terms of weather.  In fact, it's been so nice it makes you wanna step out and relax by the pool.

City of Odessa Offers FREE Pool Party

The city of Odessa has planned a FREE pool party for locals and is encouraging any and everyone to join the Summer fun.  This is happening Friday, June 27, 2025, at the Sherwood Aquatic Center from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

There will be music, snacks, and giveaways.  The free snacks include free watermelon and chips courtesy of the city's Parks and Recreation.

The Sherwood Aquatic Center

The Sherwood Aquatic Center has been a staple in the community for Odessans to take the kids to enjoy a fun way to beat the heat.  However, this is not something only the kids can partake in, adults are also encouraged to swim about.

Whether you were born and raised in Odessa or just moved here, this FREE event is not only a great way to cool off, but a fantastic opportunity to mingle with other people in the community.

If you do plan on attending, please note that you must have a clear bag when entering the facility.  Clear bags are required at all city pools according to the City of Odessa.
