Another characteristic of Texans is we don't follow or know what a speed limit is. I can say for a fact that we do know what the speed limit is, we simply just choose not to follow it, allegedly.
The main characteristic that identifies a Texan is the Texas twang. Many Texans have mentioned that when they travel, most people can recognize their Texas accent.

If you're anything like me, you might sometimes spell words the way you pronounce them, especially with a Texas accent. This has led me to wonder: what word is most commonly misspelled by Texans?
Most Mispelled Word In Texas
I originally thought it would be something like "restaurant" or "definitely", probably because these are the words I mispell the most.
According to Google Trends it's the word "confident." Most Texans spell it with an "a-n-t" at the end instead of "e-n-t."
Another common word Texans mispell is "similar." We like to put an extra "u" and spell it "simular."
What's funny is every time you see "similar" in the above sentence, I misspelled it every time 😅
