Midland, Texas --  If in case you have been living under a rock, Midland has been constructing a new Costco.  While this may seem trivial to some, it really is a big deal for the people of Midland-Odessa due to the fact that this will be the first Costco in the area.

Currently, the top 3 Costcos nearest to Midland-Odessa are hundreds of miles away.  In fact, the closest Costco would be considered in Lubbock, which is over a hundred miles away from Midland, Texas.  Other notable locations are in El Paso and Weatherford, both of which are even further than the Lubbock location.  So, having a Costco built in our region can be considered a big deal.

Grand Opening For Midland Location

Originally, the store was planning on a June 2025 opening date.  This was the standard reported by local media outlets and bloggers throughout the region.  However, it appears as if a small hiccup has transpired, and now we see a July 10, 2025, at 10 am scheduled opening.  The previous June projected opening was always a projection and never anything official.  It appears as if now, July 10, is an official opening date.  This information comes from the Facebook group Maybe In Midland-Odessa, which has had many accurate predictions about businesses when it comes to making their way into our portion of the Permian Basin.
