Per Newsweek, the sinkhole itself is located in Upton County. At the time of writing, the sinkhole itself is a staggering 200 feet wide, and as deep as 40 feet. Newsweek even states that a building with four stories be placed inside it with no issue. Not only does the sinkhole pose a risk to safety for humans, it also is causing an issue to the environment.

Near the area of the sinkhole, according to Newsweek, a family known as the Kelton Family is unable to use a well as a water source due to fact it possibly could have been compromised by the sinkhole in question. So, has the state of Texas been alerted to the siutation?
