Dating online has skyrocketed as the modern-day option for many singles in Texas. However, there's always that one unthinkable fear of meeting someone you don't know.

For one Houston woman, an online dating encounter turned into one of the scariest possible scenarios she could have ever imagined.

Zachary Mills invited a woman over to his Houston apartment on December 24, 2022. The two singles had met on an online dating platform and planned to hang out that night, however, one night turned into 5 days of pure terror.

Mills held the woman captive in his apartment for several days, Unable to escape, the Houston woman endured more than she could ever expect. According to Constable Mark Herman's Office, she was "severely assaulted by Zachary Mills."

The woman admitted Mills had denied her food and water. According to the constable's office Mills had sexually assaulted her so much that it caused her bodily injuries.

After being held captive for several days, the woman was finally able to make her quick escape. She managed to sneak out of the apartment unit and quickly looked for help. She ended up at a neighbor's unit, where help was called in.

CHARGES MADE AGAINST MILLS

Constable Deputies executed a search warrant at Mills apartment complex and successfully arrested him. "Zachary Mills was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail." Mills was charged with First Degree Aggravated Kidnapping and had his bond set at $50,000.
