If you are new to the Permian Basin, you may not know about a few visitors, or should I say residents we have around town. My kids and I like playing a little game while driving the streets of Odessa to see who can spot the jackrabbits! It's true, there are 31, bright and colorful jackrabbit statues throughout the city of Odessa. It is our own little tourist attraction.
I was having a convo with a good friend of mine the other day who is thinking about getting braces (again) she had them when she was younger but things happen and she wants straight, perfect teeth again. She asked me, 'am I too old for braces?' To which I replied, 'heck no, go for it girl! You do you!'
There are a couple of weeks of school left so it is time to start thinking about how you can keep your children busy during the summer. Kids love summer camps so how about signing yours up for Odessa College summer camps? With names like Camp Runamuckus, Zombie Preparedness Training and Moves and Grooves Dance Camp, you know you can't go wrong!
Ah, Halloween: the one time of year when it’s completely appropriate to scare the fecal matter out of loved ones and friends. If your goal is to make sure children can’t sleep at night, a disturbing urban legend is just the ammunition you need.
