Volunteering at Lonestar Sanctuary for Animals

Spent time this Sunday at Lonestar Sanctuary For Animals with my wife Vicki doing some volunteer work for a few hours... Every time I'm there I just want to take them all home--especially the dogs. I'm a dog guy (even though I also like cats) and if we didn't already have two at home I'd adopt for sure! Gwen and I feature a different pet every week on the air--Wednesdays at 9:10am, and here at Lonestar 92.3 on line. If you decide to go to the shelter and see them--there's a tag on the cage to let you know they are Pet of the Week, and you can also ask the front desk as well.

They are always looking for volunteers to help with a variety of things around the shelter--including playing with and socializing with dogs and cats! So if you find yourself with some free time--even an hour a week--stop by and talk to them about volunteering. My wife and I will see you out there for sure! I know if you're an animal lover like us, you'll want to take them all home too!
